Questions We’ve Heard:

  • Our vision is to complete the park as quickly as possible. By the end of 2023 we want to have the pavilion and the walking path complete.

  • The phases may change, but for now, here is the plan:

    Phase 1 (February 2023–June 2023)

    • Excavation of park ground

    • Pavilion

    • Open gathering space

    • Concrete walking paths

    Phase 2 (July 2023–June 2024)

    • Basketball court

    • Pickleball court

    • Volleyball court

    • Soccer field

    Phase 3 (July 2024–June 2025)

    • Kids’ Playground

    • Utilities (water/sewer/electric)

    Phase 4 (July 2025–June 2026)

    • Softball field

    • Community gardens

    • Restroom

  • Our studies and research show that we will likely see a positive impact on the safety and property values of the surrounding neighborhoods. Our corner of town is a “play desert” and we desperately need a park so kids have a place to play, adults have space to exercise and families have space to gather and relax.

We live here.

  • We know the busiest streets to avoid (looking at you, McClernon and Valley Water Mill)

  • We know when the homemade pop-tarts are fresh at Echelon’s coffee shop.

  • We know the tricks to the Truman Elementary pick-up line.

  • We know which pie is best at Neighborhood Pizza.

Northeast Springfield is where we call home.

But our corner of town deserves better.

It's a play desert. Most of our homes are miles from the nearest park. No place to walk in the mornings. No place to read while the kids play tag. No place to walk the dogs at the end of the day.

So we decided to do something about it.

God blessed Praise with 40 acres of green space. So we want to bless our community with a park.

Walking paths. Playgrounds. A place to gather with family. Basketball, volleyball, and pickle ball courts. A community garden. Parks make our neighborhoods a better place.

Join us on the journey as we build a park for this community.
