Beginning Christmas in July

Christmas Devo Kit 1.jpg

This Week We’re Reading:

Throughout our Christmas in July series, we encourage you to read and meditate on 2 Corinthians 9: 10-11. These verses share the heart of how we are called to engage with our community.

This Week We’re Asking:

  • What are some ways to be generous that aren’t tangible? Can you be generous in ways that you can’t see and touch?

  • Is it easier for you to be generous with tangible things or other things?

  • How is God calling you to be generous to those around you this week?

This Week for Christmas in July We’re Doing:

July 5: Fill a bag with books to donate to the library

July 6: Let a friend know you’re thinking of them

July 7: Introduce yourself to someone new

July 8: Make a card for someone and encourage them

July 9: Give someone a hug

July 10: Fill a box with toys to donate to charity

July 11: Leave a friendly note where someone will find it

This Week We’re Memorizing:

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.
- Psalm 24:1

As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For you generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you. Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!
- 2 Corinthians 9:13-15
