Jonah was a Jerk

Hey there! I’m stoked you are joining this journey with us. There are a couple things I want to mention. Don’t try to swallow this whale whole (see what I did there). These resources are intended to be worked through this week. Maybe one day works best for you. GREAT! Maybe not. GREAT! This definitely isn’t a checkbox, so please don’t do it to get it done. This is about spending time focused on the LORD, together. May Praise’s families and The Praise Family never be the same again. ~ Alan ~

This Week We’re Reading:

Jonah 1

Read Now

This Week We’re Asking:

1. Why do you think Jonah didn’t want to go to Ninevah?

2. Do you think Ninevah deserved God’s grace?

3. Why do you think God wanted Jonah to go to Ninevah?

This Week We’re Thinking About:

Are you honest with yourself? What tools are you using to deceive yourself? On a deeper level, what weapons is the enemy using to deceive you? Pastor Alan shares a little deeper info on how an RCO keeps us from being real with our faith and thought.

This Week We’re Doing:

We know that memorizing Scripture is incredibly important in our personal faith. For the next month, we are going to have one very that we are going to intentionally memorize as a family together!

Psalm 139:7-8

I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave, you are there.

Here is our challenge for this week!

Find Psalm 139:7-8 in your Bible. Grab a piece of paper for each person in your family and some colored pencils or crayons. Have each family member make a poster with the memory verse. Then, tape the poster to somewhere that you will be every day. Maybe on your door, a mirror, or wall. Each time you see the Memory Verse poster, take a couple seconds to read the verse!
