God is in the Details

This week we’re reading:

Jonah 3 (read on Bible Gateway)

This week we’re asking:

This week, we learned that obedience is incredibly important even in the small details. God is using each circumstance to weave.

  1. Why do you think it is important to obey God even when we don’t understand?

  2. Why do you think God wanted to save the people in Nineveh?

  3. Being obedient in even the small things is so important! What is one thing that God is calling you to be obedient in?

This week we’re thinking about:

Because of, or maybe in spite of, Jonah, God turned a city around. What does God want to do through you? Watch the video below to see what Pastor Dylan has to say about this!

This week we’re doing:

This week’s faith-in-action challenge is the sticky note challenge!

  • Find a stack of sticky notes and hand out 3 to each person in your family.

  • Have each person find one verse for each sticky note that talks about how God will never leave us.

  • Write the one of the verse per sticky note! (Parents, you might need to help your kiddos!)

  • After each person has done this, place all the sticky notes on your fridge or some place you will see each day this week!

This is a great reminder of how often God shares that He will never leave us! Psalm 139:7-8 I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there.
