The Gift of Christmas in July

christmas week 3.jpg

This Week We’re Reading:

Reading from James 1:16-18 , see how God’s generosity made you His great treasure, we are called to be the same.

Throughout our Christmas in July series, we encourage you to read and meditate on 2 Corinthians 9: 10-11. These verses share the heart of how we are called to engage with our community.

This Week We’re Asking:

What do you treasure that you can pour into loving others?

How can we respond to God’s perfect gifts?

How is God calling you to be generous to those around you this week?

This Week for Christmas in July We’re Doing:

July 19: Fill a bag with clothes to donate

July 20: Share something with someone else

July 21: Write a friendly message with chalk on a sidewalk

July 22: Tell a stranger to have a nice day

July 23: Help make dinner

July 24: Do a chore for someone else

July 25: Pay for someone to get a soda/coffee

This Week We’re Memorizing:

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.
- Psalm 24:1

As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For you generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you. Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!
- 2 Corinthians 9:13-15
