This Week We’re Asking:

The parable of the “Ten Talents” shows us how God has called us to steward the things that He has placed in our lives. We are called to steward our talents, giftings, this world, and our church. How we do that tells us a great deal about our heart and our faith.

  1. What do you think the word,“Steward” mean?

  2. What do you think is one thing that God has called you to steward in your life?

  3. How do you think we can use the talents that God has given you to reach out to people who don’t know Jesus?

This Week We’re Doing:

As we read this parable together, it is so important that we use this opportunity to seek God and ask him to show us the talents that He has given us for His glory. Each day, we are called to steward those talents and let them flow from our hearts as we strive to glorify Christ.

Heres the challenge!

This week, mark your calendars for a family talent show! Get your family together and create a special time for each person to showcase their talents to the rest of the family. Use this opportunity to encourage and show how each talent can be used to glorify God.

This Week We’re Memorizing:

“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.”

Hebrews 4:12-13 NLT

BONUS!

Jesus was a master storyteller, and many of his most well-known teachings were told as parables. But these stories were designed to do much more than simply "teach." Jesus said the parables were designed to both reveal and conceal his message about the arrival of God's Kingdom. In this video, we explore the main themes in Jesus' parables and ask why he used them as the primary vehicle for his message. Check it out right here!
