This Week We’re Asking:

As we talk about the end times, many times it brings anxiety and fear. We have all experienced anxiety in one form of the other. As our kids begin to go back to school this year, whether virtually or in person, they are probably dealing with some of those anxious thoughts. In 1 Corinthians 15:58, Paul shares with us that no matter what we face we should be strong and immovable in our faith. He even takes it a step further and shares that we should live our lives enthusiastically for the Lord. He says that we can do this because we know that Christ gives us the victory. So as we enter this week, let’s remember the victory that we stand in and live our lives enthusiastically for the Lord. Here are some questions that you can discuss with your kids this week!

  1. Share one thing that brings you fear or anxiety?

  2. Why do you think we can be strong in our faith even when there are things that bring us fear in our lives?

  3. What do you think the phrase “work enthusiastically for the Lord” means?

  4. How do you think you can you work enthusiastically for the Lord this week?

This Week We’re Watching:

Be strong. Be immovable. Work enthusiastically for the LORD. You know what the end really is going to look like. Don't swallow the post-apocalyptic visions of this world. Instead, know, stand on, and cling to the truth about the end! Click the image about to watch Pastor Alan share about The Real Post-Apocalypse!

This Week We’re Doing:

As a church family, we would love to memorize 1 Corinthians 15:58 during our “End Times” Series. As we make our way through this series, our desire is that it would cause us to be strong and immovable. When our life doesn’t align with our expectations or when the things in the world brings us anxieties, we can still stand strong because we know that we have victory in Christ.

In this week’s challenge, take time each night to read this verse together as a family. Break this verse into three parts to help memorize it as a family.
Part 1: “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable.”

Part 2: “Always work enthusiastically for the Lord”

Part 3: “For you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”

1 Corinthians 15:58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
