Change is Best, Inside-Out Devo Kit
This Week We’re Reading:
This week, we are reading Romans 12:2 together as a church family. In this passage, Paul shares the importance of allowing God to transform our hearts.
This Week We’re Asking:
Before anything can authentically change on the outside, it must start on the inside. The problem is that we don’t have the power to make those changes on our own so we must turn to God. As we sincerely turn to Him, he will begin create a change in our hearts that will overflow throughout our lives.
Would you rather having change in your life everyday or having the same routine everyday?
Why do you think it is important to ask God to change our hearts?
How do you think God changes our hearts?
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
— Psalm 139:13
This Week We’re Doing:
God knows our hearts. Our heart is where God moves and builds change in us. We believe that as God changes our hearts, that change will overflow throughout all of our lives. Sometimes we don’t always understand that change, but we can always trust that as we are submitting to God, He will change us and lead us where He would have us.
Heres the challenge!
This week, invite each person in your family to write a prayer asking God to begin to move in their hearts. As each person writes their prayer, challenge them to come to God with a sincere heart and authentically talk with God.
This Week We’re Memorizing:
Matthew 11:28-29
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.
Coming up Next Week:
Next Sunday we will be talking about our value, “Emotion is God-Given.” Throughout the week begin to think about how God can use our emotions to lead our hearts.
